Where does the soul of your music come from Juliana?
My life and personal experiences. I've always been obsessed with music and it's become ingrained in my life.
You have this amazing sound, how do you procure it?
Thank you! I have been exploring a lot of different sounds lately. I love so many different styles of music, so I try to incorporate something from each genre in my music.
What was the MOST important part of creating your latest single Dollhouse?
Finding a great feature! I am so glad I got connected with Wande because she absolutely killed her verse and is also super on par with the women empowerment I am trying to promote.
Anything that ended up on the chopping block?
Definitely! I have quite a bit of unreleased music. I've even taken down songs from the past I don't like anymore. I feel like artists are always evolving and it's an ongoing process. I might re-work some of those songs though :)
How much love did you put into it?
So much love! I love what I do and I'm doing what I love.
Is there a fine line of revealing too much of yourself in your music?
I think artists are expected to be completely vulnerable and transparent and the line is different for everyone. I love being vulnerable because people relate to you more when you are honest and put everything out there. I feel like that is kinda our job. However, I think all artists should keep a piece of themselves private just to have that safe space.
