We got to chat with the sensationally talented Singer/ Songwriter and fashion maven Emily Daccarett about being home for the holidays, how she keeps motivated and mindful consumerism!

Thank you for being a part of this interview Emily!! We want to hear how you’re ending your holiday season?! Any new projects coming up that you can share with us?!

Hi!! Thank you so much for having me! Well, it’s no secret I’m a sucker for the Holidays and I love creating special moments with the people I love. To keep our Christmas spirit up, my family and I (my quarantine crew) watch old shows like I Love Lucy, Bewitched, and I Dream of Jeanine, with some old Christmas movies sprinkled in by the fire. We’ve also been playing Bingo, Lotteria, and games, while sipping spiked eggnog or hot chocolate! My team and I are still working on my new album remotely and pushing through to finish by January! It’s a concept album with a story of love, pain, loss, and most importantly hope. The best way to describe it is, think of Peter Pan looking back on his life, accepting reality, but holding on to his sense of wonder.

Where do you have to be emotionally when you’re creating new music?

I used to think I needed to be sad, or at least melancholy to write new music, but I’ve come to realize that I turn my emotions into characters and create the story around them. Before I wrote music for my collections, and used the story behind the collection for inspiration, now that I’m writing music as a musical artist, I look to my emotions to inspire me.

Your fashion style is sick!! What is the statement you want to make going into 2021?

Thank you so much!!! It will be edgy, but more than ever artisanal. I love working on unique pieces that are one of a kind. I think 2021 should be a year of mindful consumerism.

Who have you been able to lean on when it comes to keep you creatively motivated?

I have several people in life that help keep me motivated. My producer, S. Peace Nistades is a joy to work with, he loves to experiment and pushes through obstacles, and puts his heart and soul into everything we do.

Thank you for chatting with us! Where can our audience go to follow and support ALL your cool projects because I know they'll want to!!
