Max Muscato is now showing an inside look here of how he does it all with his music...

An interesting fact about my music and my career is that I love to find secluded areas to write songs. I currently live in Buffalo, NY and I'll drive down to the Theatre District in the middle of the night to play guitar. The silence allows my guitar to ring throughout the streets and the subway which adds a certain ambiance that inspires me. I do this in a lot of the cities while on tour. It's a nice change of scenery and I've been able to write some of my best work.

What has given you thick skin throughout your career?

Developing a thick skin is tough and the people that are telling you to develop one are usually not artists, they're the critics. Nevertheless, it's something that you develop over time, you just have to maintain a positive outlook. Accepting that you're not going to be everyone's cup of tea was one of the hardest concepts I had to grasp, and I eventually did.

How do you level with yourself when something doesn't feel right in your music making?

If something doesn't feel right then I'll just stop doing it. I've learned to follow my gut instinct and it's worked out for the best. However, there have been times when I'm writing and I've workshopped specific parts of a song that eventually turned into something I could use.

There is a lot of celebration surrounding your music, how are you celebrating all the success?

I'm celebrating my success by harnessing that energy and putting it right back into my career to get to that next level. This industry is a constant grind and my goal is to be one of the top artists in the world with my specific blend of music.

What is the next big challenge for yourself in this industry?

The next big challenge for me in this industry is breaking into the next level as a touring artist. Since my latest release Valarie, I've been playing clubs of 100-300 people. My goal after the Max Muscato Undone Tour this fall is to get up to 500+ capacity size venues and then continue to grow from there.

Your journey is special, how would you define it in your own words?

If I had to define the journey I'm currently on I would describe it as a constant rollercoaster of emotions. One day you'll be dejected and think the worst after a not so great show or some bad news. The next day you could be on cloud 9 and feel invincible from something as simple as an interview with someone that really vibes with who you are.

Trying day in and day out to make sure your music is magic, how do you keep the magic within yourself to keep creating?

Trying to keep the magic. This is one of the hardest things to do because they're are so many landmines in the way of your dreams. I try to keep the magic flowing by a few methods. One, I listen to music every single day in some form or another which ranges from orchestral symphonic compositions to video game soundtracks. I never know when I'll get inspired. The other method is by relying on my team to take some of the weight off me, without them I would not be on the current road I'm on.

You are spectacular, truly. Give the fans everything they need to make sure they don't miss out on any of your music!
